Description

American Airlines started domestic operations in 1934 and expanded significantly after World War II, when it purchased American Export Airlines and assumed its European routes. American became an early leader in business travel because of its extensive advertising and because of the premium features it offered, including the Admirals Club lounge, which initially allowed members only by invitation before eventually permitting new members to join for a fee. This advertisement focuses on American’s computer reservations system, speedy check-in options, and other services businessmen found advantageous.
